Mosaic Garden Bench

I bought a concrete garden bench and spent this past week decorating the seat with an Iris design. Grouted it this morning and I'm in love with the way it turned out! Can't wait to move it to our front patio entryway area. Since it was a seat and would be used to sit on, I made sure all the glass is the same thickness. I used Spectrum, Gecko and Bullseye glass for the flowers and Spectrum for the leaves, background and border. Now I want to do another one!

Finished Pendants in Kiln

I love to open my little kiln after I've fused some pieces and see how everything turned out...it's always a treat! These were fused last night, cold worked and fire polished this morning.

I've taken a break from mosaics for the past couple of weeks and decided to do some fusing. So far I've made a dozen or more new dichroic pendants. I did some research and found a good firing schedule for the ripple glass that helps eliminate bubbles which has been awesome. Still working on layering small pieces of dichroic together and fusing without bubbles, but this has been harder to accomplish. More to come later, but here are a few of my favorites that I'm hoping to get listed this week.

Dichroic Ripple Hearts

Made these hearts for my best friend Ginny's daughter and daughter-in-laws as gifts. I used the same piece of dichroic rainbow ripple glass for all three and love the way each one is similar but still different from each other.
