Feisty Dragon Mosaic

Just finished this Dragon mosaic for our oldest Grandson who requested a Dragon for his room as a 10th birthday gift.  He chose the pattern from a photo of a Dragon tattoo on the internet and I drew the pattern from that picture.  A fun and challenging piece for a special boy!

Dragonfly Admidst the Summer Flowers

New mosaic wall hanging depicting Summer flowers and a Dragonfly.  Clay art flowers add extra dimension and color and a small Dragonfly keeps the piece interesting.

Angel Remembrance in Mosaic

This was a commission from 3 sisters as a remembrance for their oldest sister who passed away October 2011.  This piece will hang at the Adult Day Care Center in Iowa that she volunteered at for many years.

Roses and Ribbons Panel

Finished this copper foil panel today and it turned out beautiful!

Made from a Carolyn Kyle pattern using special handrolled and architectural glass.  The purple glass used in the ribbon is old glass salvaged from a church in Chicago.  I added two oval clear jewels as accents. 

A special gift for a dear friend's 60th birthday.  I think she'll be surprised!

Python in a tree mosaic wall hanging.  Made for our Grandson who is a lover of all reptiles; especially snakes.  This will add a lot of cheer and color to his new bedroom.

Butterflies

Three pretty stained glass Butterflies I made for a customer who lost one of her sisters this year. She ordered one for each of the remaining sisters as a remembrance of their late sister who loved Butterflies.

Just finished this small panel as a Christmas gift. Used some multi colored glass I fused in my kiln for the inner border and hand rolled Uroboros for the bird and flower/leaves.

Finished this stained glass panel for a dear friend in Michigan. Taking it with me next month and can't wait to see it hanging in her home. Made with hand rolled Urorboros, Bullseye and Youghioheny Stipple glass.

New Mosaics

I spent a lot of time after the terrible tragedy of January 8th in my glass studio working on a couple of mosaic projects. For me working in glass is very therapeutic and calming; and mosaics are a wonderful stress reliever.
Have been designing and creating quite a few Hummingbird mosaics to figure out which colors look best for the birds and surrounding design. It has been enjoyable. The sweet dog leash holder is the 2nd one I've made. I'm pleased with both of my latest mosaic projects!

Chilies

Finished this custom panel for a customer in Sacramento, California. Made with Bullseye, Uroboros, Wissmach hand rolled glass. Measures 24 x 20.

New Fusing Projects

This is my new favorite fused glass dish. Striped glass strips cut and squared up on a clear base with 2 borders; one clear and one orange. Fused flat and then slumped into my new "funky" mold. This is a Christmas gift for a good friend ;-)
