New Fusing Projects

This is my new favorite fused glass dish. Striped glass strips cut and squared up on a clear base with 2 borders; one clear and one orange. Fused flat and then slumped into my new "funky" mold. This is a Christmas gift for a good friend ;-)

Another fun glass dish made with sparkly green glass accented with a fracture streamer strip.

Small dish made with the striped glass and with orange for the border. I love little dishes and this one turned out great!

New Dragonfly Suncatcher

Just finished this large Dragonfly stained glass piece. Love the way it turned out, the wings are iridescent glass and they just sparkle! The background fracture/streamer glass is a piece I made in my kiln by using frit, noodles and confetti glass and fusing it onto a piece of clear and the lavender border glass is recycled glass from an old church in Chicago that was torn down in the mid-70's and given to me by my late Father in Law, John Kraushaar.

This piece is listed on Etsy at desertroseartglass@Etsy.com

Pretty Stained Glass Flower

This is my favorite new piece of stained glass. I just love the way the handrolled glass diffuses the light in the flower petals. I used Youghiogheny for the flower, leaves and stem, Pilkington architectural glass for the background and some Kokomo blue for the border. Love the textures in this piece too!

Relisted!

Just relisted this pretty red heart in my Etsy store, Desert Rose Art Glass this morning. This is such a pretty piece, the red cathedral glass is a very old piece given to me by my friend in Santa Fe who used to work in stained glass in the 70's. The center piece is a glue chip bevel. I used scalloped foil on the edges and beaded the nylon coated wire hanger.

Another Suncatcher

Just finished this sweet blue and yellow butterfly. It's made with premium Oceana glass and looks great hanging. I think a little flower would look so neat next to it....must make one of those soon!

New Listings

I've been busy since I got home making stained glass pieces to list in my Etsy shop. These are a few of the new items and I'm making more. Christmas is coming and who wouldn't like a piece of stained glass as a gift. Always beautiful and enjoyed for years, it's a gift that will truly be appreciated.
