New Panel

Started a new panel last week. This one will be lead and I'm making it in a refresher class at my favorite glass shop.

I made the center focal piece by fusing two pieces of glass together. It incorporates all the colors in the panel.

Only have the border left to cut out. We start the leading process this Thursday.

Three Angel Ornaments

Three of my favorite angels so far. No room for kid's names, but these would be nice for Moms and Grandmothers. They measure 4" x 3 1/4", the perfect size for an ornament.

Coffee Anyone?

Found this stained glass pattern and thought it would make a cute gift for one of my CGGE friends. She always has our coffee, tea and chai ready for our forum chats. I decided to fuse it instead of making it out of copper foil. As always I learned a lot on this first fuse. It was fun!

Fun fused Angels

I'm starting to think about the upcoming holidays and a show I'm going to be in. I think these sweet angels will sell quickly. I'm hoping to make a couple of dozen, all different and some smaller that can be used as tree ornaments.

Butterfly Garden Panel

This one was fun to make. I used some of the glass bicycle reflectors for the flower centers and they add a wee bit of dimension to this one. I've been trying to make smaller panels to sell on Etsy, it makes the packaging and shipping so much easier.

Ruby Throated Hummingbird

Finished this small suncatcher yesterday. I seem to be stuck on birds lately, I love the way this one turned out.

New Stained Glass Pieces

Notice the fused cabachon centerpiece in the flower. It gives this piece a lot of pizazz!

I made these over the weekend. I listed them on Etsy today.
It was a nice change from working with mosaics.

Dichroic Glass Necklace

Smokey Lady, one of my fellow Creative Glass Guild of Etsy team members purchased two of my dichroic pendants to use with her handmade beads for necklaces. Her Etsy store is: SmokeyLady54.Etsy.com

The first necklace she made and listed on Etsy for sale was made with a ming green dichroic glass on a wispy clear/white base with a clear cap. She matched the pendant beautifully with her own beads.

I'm so honored by her choice to use my work in her beautiful jewelry creations!

Jellyfish Garden Stained Glass Panel

I received this picture from Sonnee, a member of my on-line Glass Guild who bought the Jellyfish Garden panel.
She sent me a picture of it hanging in her Florida home.
It looks great with the Palm behind it.

Another Birdhouse

It seems I've been making mosaics only lately. I made this birdhouse using a random cut swirl pattern with iridescent purple and white glass. I wanted something different as an example for the class I'm going to teach this summer.
It turned out very different from the others, it has some sparkle!

Hummingbird Garden Stepping Stone

It's grouted at last!
I'm very happy with the way it turned out, the dark grout makes all the colors just POP.

New Desert Garden Birdhouse

I've been busy grouting and finished this new birdhouse. I used Plum colored grout and it didn't turn out as I hoped. The plum is darker than I thought it would be and the pink flowers on the front of the birdhouse don't pop out as much as I'd like.
Live and learn :)

Finished at Last

I grouted the garden stone early this morning while it was still cool outside. I'm really pleased that the grout color matches the stone color so well.
I know it's going to look great in Mom's new flower garden.

Flowering Amaryllis Bulbs

This post isn't glass related, but I just have to share my Amaryllis bulbs from Christmas's past.
These bulbs were gifts in 2006 and 2007 and are now in full bloom in their pots.
They are so beautiful!!

Garden Series Mosaic Birdhouses

After making a mosaic birdhouse for Karen with Brendan and Logan, I really wanted to make a few more. I call these my garden series birdhouses. I've already made two and sold one! They are a lot of work but I love the way they turn out.

I loved making these, they were fun and challenging.

Howling Coyote Panel

A fun fused glass panel of a coyote howling at the full moon. I made this last fall and it's hanging in my studio window.

Jellyfish Garden Stained Glass Panel

We've all heard of the Octopus's garden that the Beatles made famous. Well, just next store live the Jellyfish! This is a fun whimsical stained glass panel made with geode slices for the Jellyfish bodies and a fused glass piece as a sea anemone! I've added some sea shells on the ocean floor to give this panel a 3D effect.

Studio Window

A shot of the window in my studio from this morning. I just finished the Jellyfish Garden panel and hung it in the window to take photos. I love spending time in this room and creating glass art to my heart's content :)
