Autumn Foliage Candle Holder

My favorite stained glass candle holder. I made this a few years ago and it sits on my coffee table year round. Measuring 15" in length, it holds 3 votive candles and just glows when they are lit.
I've only made 3 of these, the leaves and berries are a lot of work and time consuming but so worth the effort.

Christmas candle holder

I made this sweet candle holder using four pieces of glass I fused in my kiln. I added some beautiful clear mottled glass, red glass nuggets and green glass jewels as accents. Measuring 8" x 3" this piece is the perfect size to hold tealights or votives. It has a mirror base that adds to the reflective value when candles are lit!

Christmas Bevels

I just love these precut Christmas bevels that come in many different designs. Just add some of your own glass for accents and Viola! you've created a beautiful gift! Many of these that I've made over the years hang in people's windows year round...so beautiful when the sun streams through them and creates a prism!
If you're interested in one of these, send me a note!

Pocket Mirrors

Finally fusing again, started with these super cute cosmetic/lipstick pocket mirrors, perfect for carrying in a purse. The small sewn cloth holders to protect the mirrors when not in use from scratches, etc. The mirror is glued onto the fused glass base and has been foiled and soldered with lead free solder, making these mirrors safe to handle!
These can be found for sale in my Etsy store.

Ginny and Me

Me and my best friend Ginny with the stained glass panel I made for her. We reconnected this summer after 20 years. We were joined at the hip when our kids were babies and we were both pregnant all those years ago. It was like all those years never happened, we are joined at the hip again. A fun and remarkable time we shared this summer.

Hummingbirds

Took a break in between mosaic projects and made these two hummingbird suncatchers. One is a gift for a friend and the other will go in my Etsy store.

Small Mosaic Circle

This was a fun and quick project. Broken china focal piece with ceramic tile surrounding it. Measures 6 1/2 inches across, a perfect piece for a small spot on a wall that needs a little something extra.

Grouted!

Grouted today and I'm glad that's done LOL! Always such a mess, I think it's the worst part of mosaics. Anyway, included a close up shot of the center area with the dichroic cabs I fused for the flower centers. Makes this piece fun.

WIP - Dog Leash Holder

Fell in love with this MDF base shaped like a bone. I spent today on it and only have the border edging glass left to cut and glue on. The hooks are removed until after grouting. The paws were made by a talented clay artist on Etsy as was the base.

WIP Large Flower Panel

Ready to grout -- this project has consumed 2 weeks of my time already...I thought I'd have it finished last weekend --Ha!
Hope to grout tomorrow.

Grouted

I finally got this one grouted. Hmm, what to plant in it....something that won't cover the all of design and work I put into it.

A Few Fused Dishes

I haven't posted anything in a long time!

Small dishes are a fun way to try new designs and techniques. These dishes are small (5"x5") and a nice size for displaying or using to collect "things" in.

The first one has dichroic accents on an iridescent blue base and black wavy noodles. The two woven dishes are made on a clear base with iridescent glass on the top layer of the weave.

Mag Not Mosaic Piece

Finished this yesterday -- all of the exchange pieces incorporated into a small mosaic wall hanging for my studio. What better way to admire my fellow CGGE artists work and get inspired? I love the way it turned out!

New Garden Pots

Just finished these yesterday. The one on the left is for my Mom for Mother's Day, she's been hinting for a mosaic garden pot for a while now LOL ;o)
Hope she likes this one.

They are both made with broken china pieces and ceramic tiles. I love the ceramic flower accents on the blue and yellow pot!

Woodland Cottage

Grouted finally!
This one is really unique -- two colors of grout and glass nuggets, very fun ;o)

New Dichroic Necklace

Made this necklace this week, it's been a week of beading for some reason. Incorporated four gorgeous dichroic lamp worked beads made by Dee Howl of New Mexico.
Thinking about listing this one on Etsy this week. Still working on 2 other new beaded necklaces.

3 Strand Dichroic Necklace

Latest beaded dichroic necklace listed on Etsy. Love the blues and greens in this one!

Mag-Nots

These are what I've been working on lately. Some of us CGGE artists are having an exchange of small originals the size of magnets without the magnet, therefore we're calling them magnots or magless. Each one had to be no larger than 2"x2" and an original design. Thankfully we only had to make 15 -- this is the first time we've had this challenge/exchange. It was a fun project and I'm excited to see them all.

Zuni Bear

I'm always looking for odd pieces of wood to mosaic and found this small piece in our garage (Jim never throws anything away LOL). Didn't know what design to make but saw a tile with a Zuni Bear fetish on it and went for it.
Not so sure about the grout color, but it is what it is at this point.

Grouted yesterday. It turned out really nice, may have to put this one in my yard ;)

Garden Stone

We have a lizard that resides in our yard all summer long and I thought it would be fun to make a garden stone with a likeness of him sunning himself on our garden wall.

Mosaic China Hearts

Side by side:

Another side by side angle:

Blue China heart:

This heart is made with different blue china pieces, glass and pottery heart focals.

Lavender/Blue China Heart:

Although it looks blue the glass used in this piece is lavender/blue and the little flowers in the china pieces are lavender.
