Three pretty stained glass Butterflies I made for a customer who lost one of her sisters this year. She ordered one for each of the remaining sisters as a remembrance of their late sister who loved Butterflies.

Pretty Stained Glass Flower

This is my favorite new piece of stained glass. I just love the way the handrolled glass diffuses the light in the flower petals. I used Youghiogheny for the flower, leaves and stem, Pilkington architectural glass for the background and some Kokomo blue for the border. Love the textures in this piece too!

Relisted!

Just relisted this pretty red heart in my Etsy store, Desert Rose Art Glass this morning. This is such a pretty piece, the red cathedral glass is a very old piece given to me by my friend in Santa Fe who used to work in stained glass in the 70's. The center piece is a glue chip bevel. I used scalloped foil on the edges and beaded the nylon coated wire hanger.

Another Suncatcher

Just finished this sweet blue and yellow butterfly. It's made with premium Oceana glass and looks great hanging. I think a little flower would look so neat next to it....must make one of those soon!

New Listings

I've been busy since I got home making stained glass pieces to list in my Etsy shop. These are a few of the new items and I'm making more. Christmas is coming and who wouldn't like a piece of stained glass as a gift. Always beautiful and enjoyed for years, it's a gift that will truly be appreciated.

Suncatchers

I made these suncatchers for my Michigan grandson's new bedroom. They were fun to make and the boys love them hanging in the window.

Autumn Candle Holder

I couldn't post these pictures until now because this piece was a gift for my dear friends Ginny and Rodger in Michigan who celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past July.

This piece is one of my favorite stained glass pieces to make and although it's time consuming and tedious at times to make the leaves, berries and pumpkins/gourds, it's so worth it! When lit with votive candles this piece really glows! It was an instant success and I know it will get lots of use during the cold Fall and Winter months.

Flowering Plant Suncatcher

I love to garden and have many plants in pots on our patio. We have terrible earth here, lots of rocks and sand. I saw this pattern in an Ed Sibbett book and was anxious to make it out of stained glass. I made this piece with Bullseye and Uroboros hand rolled glass. It really makes stunning stained glass pieces. This piece will be hanging in a good friends home as soon as I get it packed up and shipped.

Valentine Hearts

I've been enjoying working on some stained glass projects for the last few days. It's been a nice break from mosaics. I made these 2 hearts -- one is small 4"x4" and the red one is larger 7"x7". It's been fun to experiment with different glass and adding just one bevel to each heart really seems to accent these pieces.

Christmas Bevels

I just love these precut Christmas bevels that come in many different designs. Just add some of your own glass for accents and Viola! you've created a beautiful gift! Many of these that I've made over the years hang in people's windows year round...so beautiful when the sun streams through them and creates a prism!
If you're interested in one of these, send me a note!
